Date and time: 22th- 27th April 2025 6 days in total Each day will start at 9am and finish by 5pm Payment: A 20% deposit will be required at the time of booking. Previous Knowledge/Experience: Theory: Day Skipper Theory Certificate – or equivalent knowledge and experience of navigation of small craft in coastal, tidal waters. Practical: Day Skipper Practical – and/or some experience as a skipper of a small vessel in coastal waters. If you have no prior knowledge we recommend that you consult an instructor before enrolling. Age There is no minimum or maximum age limit. What’s Included RYA student pack comprising practice charts, Yachtmaster Course Notes booklet, RYA Exercises. Tea coffee and water is included but food is not. What will I need to bring? 1. A notebook and pens to make notes along with 2b pencils and a rubber for chart work 2. A set of marine dividers (at least 8inch) of a type with tightening screw, 3. A Portland Course Plotter or other Course Plotter However, all of the above are available to borrow, so don't worry if you don't have these already. Course Structures: This course will be run over 6 days starting at 9am each day and finishing at 5pm. The final day is exam day. You will sit a collision regulations paper, chartwork test, and passage planning exam. Successful candidates will be awarded the Yachtmaster Theory certification.
